Heroes in Concert

An entertaining family & kids orchestra-concert with popular film-heroes from fantasy, animation and action movies and with a narrator

We start a trip into the world of animated films and an exploitative chicken-farm with laying hen Ginger in Chicken-Run. From there we go to the castle of Shreks hard-to-please in-laws, on to Paris to the rat Remy who has highest chef ambitions in Ratatouille and end up in a fictional viking world with Hicks and his dragon in How To Train Your Dragon. After a detour to the Ice-Age and to the mammoth „Manni“ Manfred and sloth Sid we head to Hogwarts Castle and thus also to the genre of fantasy movies. Harry Potter‘s adventures and battles with the evil magician Lord Voldemort in seven books and eight movies are cult - and so is the music. On an exemplary carbon-neutral flying carpet, the music takes you to the Orient, to Aladdin and his adventures to get his Princess Jasmine. In New York we meet Peter Parker, better known as Spider-Man, who, using hissuperpowers and wearing fashionable hoodie and tight pants, is attempting a career as a superhero in comics and on screen - with success as we know. A quite different kind of superhero is Captain Jack Sparrow. In five Pirates Of The Caribbean-films, he puts up fights and faux pas on the high seas. Towards the end of our concert, we take another trip to the animal world to Madagascar, around a group of escaped zoo-animals and a zebra in mid-life crisis. And finally, and under God Loki‘s threat to destroy the world, we can only hope for the ultimate and combined power of the best superheroes: The Avengers. Thunder god Thor, tantrum-prone Hulk, the egocentric Tony Stark - aka Iron Man, Black Widow and - of course - Captain America and Hawkeye. But the group is far from being a team, and only the music will tell us if there will be a Happy End.
